I designed and created this helmet from scratch, sculpting it in ZBrush and texturing it in Substance 3D Painter.
My goal was to create a dark fantasy medieval helmet with an ornate design, drawing heavy inspiration from Renaissance armor aesthetics and craftsmanship.
Process from blockout to final detail. I began with a simple blockout and continuously refined the overall shape, silhouette, ornate patterns, and surface details throughout the sculpting process to create a stronger and more cohesive design. All of the engravings and ornamental details were hand sculpted to give the helmet a more authentic, handcrafted feel.









For the horn design, I drew inspiration from natural formations such as cooled lava, volcanic rock, eroded cliffs, and tree bark. I combined these references with weathered metal and oxidized surfaces to enhance a sense of age and decay. I was especially drawn to the organic flow and layered textures found in these natural forms.
