Character Modeling for Animated Short Film (Project Winters):
I had the opportunity to model two characters for Adam Villarreal’s animated short film, Project Winters. This project allowed me to explore different character modeling techniques and approaches while further refining my workflow.
It strengthened my technical modeling skills, particularly in creating clean topology for smooth subdivision and animation-ready meshes, while also giving me valuable experience working within a professional production pipeline.
I’m proud of the final results and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the project.

Character: Eric
The initial head and arm sculpt, along with the early blockout, were created by Juan Carlos Rivero. The 2011 Sidearm was modeled by Ted Agriogianis, and the rail gun was modeled by Alex Antuna. The character’s concept design was provided as part of the project’s established visual direction.
Building on this foundation, I was responsible for modeling and developing all remaining character assets, including the armor, outfit, hair, and gun holster, as well as completing the retopology and preparing the asset for production. Working from the provided concept design, I focused on translating the character faithfully into 3D while creating clean, efficient topology for smooth subdivision and animation-ready geometry. The primary tools used throughout the process were ZBrush and Maya.

Character: Chris
This character was fully created from scratch, and I was responsible for the entire production pipeline, including sculpting, modeling, retopology, and final asset preparation. Based on the provided concept design, I focused on capturing the character’s overall shape language and personality while ensuring the model remained clean, optimized, and suitable for animation and production use. The project was also created using ZBrush and Maya.
